just stumbled across this list of 20+ actions for making photos look retro. most of them are pretty good if you want that old film vibe w/o much effort. it is way better than trying to manually adjust every single layer from scratch. i might try some of these on my recent street photography shots later tonight. does anyone else still use these instead of just using ai filters ? let me know if you have any other must-have presets for that grainy aesthetic.

the ai filters usually look way too smooth and lack that organic texture. i always layer a bit of gaussian noise on top of the actions to break up those digital gradients
