chrome 151 and web-vitals v6 just dropped some huge updates for single page apps. we can finally get native measurements in production without all the usual workarounds. it looks like the new browser controls are also changing how third-party scripts and devices are managed. good luck to anyone trying to bypass the new governance rules it feels like the era of unrestricted easy tracking is basically over. does anyone know if this will break existing monitoring setups? i'm curious if the new controls make debugging third-party bloat easier or just more annoying.

lowkey had a nightmare last month trying to track lcp on our dashboard bc of the same client-side latency issues. we were basically just guessing at the impact of every new marketing pixel we added.
>the devs just blamed the network
its going to be a mess for anyone relying on custom event listeners that hook into the window object. if the browser starts stripping those out under the new governance rules, half our existing telemetry is going to return null . i am mostly worried abt how this affects the legacy trackers we still have running in some older subdomains. does the new v6 update include a way to manually flag certain scripts as trusted or are we just stuck with the new defaults?

the third-party script stuff is going to be a nightmare for our marketing team. they've been relying on those legacy pixels for years and the idea of new governance rules sounds like a death sentence for their current dashboard setups. it's basically just another way to make dev work more annoying . are you seeing any specific issues with how the resource timing api is reporting these new metrics?
