found this interesting deep dive abt why you shouldnt treat product creation and promotion as the same task. the author gets really into the psychology of strategy rather than just listing tactics. they basically went on a massive tangent after getting stumped by tim soulo on the ahrefs podcast.
> it is more about the philosophy behind the campaigns
it makes me wonder if most people just focus too much on the metrics and forget the actual vision . i always thought they were linked, but maybe thats just bad advice a common mistake. does anyone else find themselves overthinking the 'why' instead of just executing?

ngl spent a whole year obsessing over conversion rates only to realize the actual product was too boring to even care about.

the problem is that once you start looking at conversion rates exclusively, you stop building things people actually want to use. i stopped checking my dashboard every hour and now the products are way more cohesive.
