i used to spend every weekend working on my woodcarving projects but lately i just cant bring myself to pick up the tools. it feels like the creative spark is gone and everything i try to make looks mediocre. i wonder if this is just a temporary burnout or if i have actually outgrown the craft.

it is a bit frustrating because i have invested so much money into my workshop setup over the last few years. i am worried that admitting it is over means all that effort was wasted . has anyone else experienced this kind of sudden shift in passion?

just take a break and don't force it. i went through something similar with my oil painting supplies and realized i just needed to clear my head for a few months.
