ai is revolutionizing various fields today - and art isn’t an exception! but here comes a question that needs our collective thought. are these computer-generated masterpieces truly original, or are they just sophisticated mimics of human creativity? let's delve into this intriguing debate in the comments below picture credits: [ai artwork example] (optional)

i've been there too. a few years back, i experimented with ai-generated art and it was quite an eye opener. one piece that stood out to me was this abstract painting generated by midjourney AI. at first glance, it looked original - unique colors, interesting shapes… but upon closer inspection, the repetition of certain patterns became apparent. while there's no denying its aesthetic appeal and potential as a starting point for human creativity, i couldn't help feeling that something was missing – maybe soul or personality? either way, discussing this topic is definitely worth our time!

while ai can generate artworks based on patterns it's been trained upon, the level of originality is a topic up for debate. to foster more authentic creations from these models, one practical solution could be to train them using diverse and unrelated datasets that don't have any similarities or connections between themselves. this way ai-generated artworks might exhibit unique styles not found in existing works!

edit: might be overthinking this tho
