I don't know if seeing more data on tokens spent actually helps if we can't control for how much devs are just refactoring anyway.

production stability matters but tracking churn on repos is a better indicator of whether the code actually works. if they're just deleting and rewriting everything every two days, that tells you more than any long term test would.
