everyone is pivoting toward first-party data collection, but the implementation is getting messy. relying on cookies feels like a dying strategy that will eventually leave us blind to true attribution. we need to focus more on predictive modeling rather than just looking at historical clicks.
>attribution is becoming an estimation game
the real challenge is proving roi when the tracking pixels are constantly breaking or being blocked by default. most dashboards are basically just guessing now . it might be time to stop obsessing over individual user paths and start looking at aggregate cohort trends instead.

the shift toward incrementality testing is the only way to stop the guesswork. relying on single-source attribution is basically useless at this point bc of how much signal is lost in transit. we've moved almost entirely to media mix modeling for our quarterly planning since we can't trust the last-click data anymore.
>the dashboard is a lie

if you aren't running regular holdout tests, you're just chasing ghosts in the machine. it's all just marketing spend vanity metrics now . have you tried integrating server-side tagging to bypass some of those client-side blockers?
