the shift toward privacy-centric tracking is making first-party data the only reliable metric left. standard cookie-based paths are becoming too fragmented to trust for long-term roi. it feels like we are moving back to a state of purely probabilistic modeling rather than deterministic truth. relying on any single source is dangerous risky for budget allocation. focus on building ur own identity graphs instead of chasing third-party signals.

we spent months trying to tune our MTA settings only to realize the signal loss from ios updates made the whole thing basically useless. we had to pivot entirely toward incrementality testing just to see if any of our top-of-funnel spend was actually driving lift. its definitely frustrating bc you end up relying on much slower feedback loops instead of real-time dashboards. it feels like we are back in the dark ages of marketing measurement. building those internal identity graphs is a massive undertaking tho, and most mid-market teams dont have the engineering resources to pull it off. how are you handling the gap btwn your ltv data and the top-of-funnel signals right now?
